Rooted in experience designing homes in the Southern California modernist style, our designs challenge the status quo of mid-west living through creative dialogues between our natural environment and the man-made buildings we live in.  In doing so, our process draws to the forefront connections with nature and site that blend the unique aspects of each property with our clients’ idiosyncratic preferences and how they wish to experience their day-to-day life.  

We find it important to imbue in each project both the tangible and intangible qualities of nature to promote healthy environments and improve human experiences.  Our process for designing beautiful, innovative homes always relies on the landscapes that are innate to the project or embellished by our landscape designs.  Our building forms and material selections are subservient to the human experiences they foster and create a dialogue between nature and the man-made.

Nothing exemplifies our ethos more clearly than our North Shore project.  The home exhibits so many unique experiences allowing the owners to reflect on their surroundings while still feel the creature comforts of home.
